One of Paul Thomas Anderson’s first films was Cigarettes and Coffee, not to be confused with Jim Jarmusch’s Coffee and Cigarettes.

Finding two similarly titled films isn’t that surprising, but the directors are linked another way as well: Jarmusch was influenced by Ghoulardi, an “eccentric Cleveland television show which featured horror films” hosted by Ernie Anderson, Paul Thomas Anderson’s father.
